San Diego may be closed for convention season this year, but the annual Star Trek Universe event is open for business as the entire lineup of television shows are set present virtual panel experiences for SDCC @ Home on July 23.

Announced today via Deadline — whose senior editor Dominic Patten will be helming the day of Star Trek streaming — the virtual event will kick off at 10AM PT (1PM ET) on July 23, and will feature the casts and production leadership teams from Star Trek: Picard, Discovery, Lower Decks, and the recently-announced Captain Pike spin-off Strange New Worlds.

Anthony Rapp poses with a fan at SDCC 2018.

The event will start with an interview with franchise leaders Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin, moderated by Patten, and will then lead into a table read of the Discovery Season 2 finale episode “Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2” and subsequent Q & A session to feature the entire series cast.

Set to participate from Discovery are Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Michelle Yeoh, Wilson Cruz, Mary Chieffo, Tig Notaro, Alan Van Sprang, Jayne Brook, Emily Coutts, Oyin Oladejo, Patrick Kwok-Choon, Ronnie Rowe Jr., and Sara Mitich.

Also joining the table read are Star Trek: Strange New Worlds leads Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn; series producers Michelle Paradise and Olatunde Osunsanmi (who directed the episode) will also be in attendance.

After the Discovery crew warps away, series showrunner Mike McMahan and the cast of the soon-to-launch Star Trek: Lower Decks crew will beam aboard — voice actors Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noel Wells, Eugene Cordero, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore, and Gillian Vigman — who will answer questions about the new animated series and showcase the first extended clip from the show’s premiere episode.

Finally, the Star Trek: Picard cast will round out the Star Trek Universe presentation, with leads Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, and Santiago Cabrera joining the live-stream and answering fan questions, with guest stars Jonathan Del Arco, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes, and Jeri Ryan in attendance as well.

The free-to-view streaming Star Trek Universe event is expected to be available for all to watch on the San Diego Comic Con YouTube channel when the event begins July 23.
