EXO-6 Revisits “The Cage,” Master Replicas’ Next Action Figures (and a Talking Moopsy!), and Much More STAR TREK Merch News!

We’re back this Tuesday evening with another look at the latest in Star Trek collectibles news, stretching from the start of the franchise to the latest iterations!

One-sixth-scale action figure company EXO-6 is taking its second trip back to the original Star Trek pilot “The Cage” with their new Captain Pike figure, based upon the Enterprise captain portrayed by Jeffrey Hunter in that 1964 production.

Like their “The Cage” Spock released earlier this year, this version of Pike comes with the distinctive landing party jacket, translucent communicator, and era-appropriate laser pistol, and under-jacket harness.

Preorder on this Pike figure runs through June 30, and is expected to ship in the last quarter of the year; the 12-inch figure retails for $225 USD — American customers will also see a tariff surcharge of $14.50 (if still applicable at time of shipment).

Master Replicas kicks off June with a trio of new modern-era Trek collectibles, starting with their second-generation, talking Moopsy plush. This time, the company has added a sound chip to the menacing little Lower Decks monster — the larger, 14-inch Moopsy plays the cheerful “Moopsy!” sound when the stuffed animal’s front paw is pressed.

The new talking Moospy is up for preorder now (shipping in August), at a cost of $34.99.

Master Replicas has also opened preorders for the third pair of Kurtzman-era action figures — slightly delayed due to the recent tariff mess — as Lower Decks‘ Brad Boimler and Star Trek: Picard‘s Captain Will Riker expand the growing 4.5-inch lineup.

These figures retail at $25.99 each, each expected to ship in the third quarter of 2025.

We’ve already got a few looks at Fanhome’s next four Official Starship Collection ships — June’s Titan, July’s Enterprise-G, August’s Excelsior II, and September’s Dauntless — but the company showed its first images of the subsequent two ships on Instagram this week.

Featuring digital renders, Fanhome teased the USS Archer (from the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds pilot) and the Lamarr-class Voyager-A (from Star Trek: Prodigy), expected in October and November.

There are no details on story or character focus yet, but longtime Star Trek novelist Dayton Ward will be returning to the final frontier in a new hardcover next year.

Listed for release on February 17, Ward’s next Trek tale will be Star Trek: Picard — To Defy Fate. The book can be preordered now for $29 (or for $14.99 on Kindle).

WizKids’ strategy card game Star Trek: Captain’s Chair which debuted last fall — is growing, with two new expansions announced today.

The first is Star Trek: Captain’s Chair — To Boldly Go, a fully standalone game which adds additional captains from modern-era shows like Star Trek: DiscoveryStar Trek: Lower Decks, and more.

In STAR TREK™: CAPTAIN’S CHAIR, you will go head-to-head with an opponent, each stepping into the shoes of an iconic leader from across Star Trek™’s galaxy and history. Command ships, crew, and away teams, while you manage resources and alliances!

STAR TREK™: CAPTAIN’S CHAIR – TO BOLDLY GO is a new, fully standalone game with all the cards and components you need! In addition to Kirk and Khan, you can now play as Philippa Georgiou from Star Trek™: Discovery, Rebner, the Pakled Commander from Star Trek™: Lower Decks, and more!

Each of the six captains come with their own unique, asymmetric deck of cards that matches that leader’s personality, abilities, allies, and assets. These decks can be expanded with cards available to both players, representing the people, items, planets, and events that characters ecounter in iconic storylines. Each deck creates different strategic directions, based on what common cards are available, and what strategy your opponent deploys.

Star Trek: Captain’s Chair — To Boldly Go ships in Q4 2025 and preorders for $59.99.

The second expansion is Star Trek: Captain’s Chair — Second Contact, an add-on pack which requires either the original game or To Boldly Go as a base. Second Contact adds several entirely new components to the game, including Captain Carol Freeman, the USS Cerritos, Captain Pike from Strange New Worlds, his USS Enterprise, and more.

Play as Carol Freeman, Captain of the U.S.S. Cerritos, Christopher Pike, captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and more! You can also add Krulmuth-B as a starting location, opening a portal that crosses space and time!

In Star Trek™: Captain’s Chair, you will go head-to head with an opponent, each stepping into the shoes of an iconic leader from across Star Trek™’s galaxy and history. Command ships, crew, and away teams, while you manage resources and alliances.

This is an EXPANSION! It requires Star Trek™: Captain’s Chair or Star Trek™: Captain’s Chair – To Boldly Go to play.

Star Trek: Captain’s Chair — Second Contact ships in Q4 2025 and preorders for $29.99.
