We still don’t quite know when Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will be arriving — though Season 4 is already in production — but it’s sure to be relatively soon, as today Paramount+ is kicking off their Season 3 promotional campaign with a set of character portraits from the upcoming year of episodes!
These twelve photographic portraits shared by the streamer today were taken by photographer Pari Dukovic, who used “a completely darkened room in order to accomplish this effect [using] a standard digital projector mixed with strobe to amplify the actors skin and eyes with images of star nebulas and distant universes.”
Along with Strange New Worlds’ series regulars Anson Mount (Pike), Rebecca Romijn (Number One), Ethan Peck (Spock), Celia Rosa Gooding (Uhura), Jess Bush (Chapel), Melissa Navia (Ortegas), Christina Chong (La’an), Babs Olusanmokun (M’Benga), and Martin Quinn (Scotty), the artwork also features Carol Kane (Pelia), Paul Wesley (Kirk), and Melanie Scrofano (Batel).
Most of our characters resemble their Season 1 and Season 2 looks, but you can see a change in hairstyle for both Uhura and Chapel for the show’s third year of adventures.
