As we reported a few weeks ago, new Star Trek licensee EXO-6 has taken up the mantle of producing 1:6-scale character figures from around the Trek franchise — and they’re already expanding their planned offerings to additional releases.
Earlier this month, the company announced plans for their 1:6-scale Lt. Commander Data figure, designed around the android’s multiple appearances in Star Trek: First Contact, and today EXO-6 is ready reveal plans for two more releases tied to the 1996 film.
Joining Data will be a similarly-detailed, 1:6-scale Captain Jean-Luc Picard articulated figure , as well as a static statue of Alice Krieg’s Borg Queen, expanding the First Contact line to a trio of releases.
While photographs of the Picard and Borg Queen replicas aren’t yet available, EXO-6 has created a playful recreation of the Star Trek: First Contact theatrical poster using digital sculpts of the characters, giving us an early glimpse of the detailed likenesses being used.
As for that Lt. Commander Data figure announced two weeks ago, EXO-6 will be officially opening up a purchase window for the android figure next week; preorders for the $189 figure will be available to submit from February 1-28, with a $20 non-refundable deposit required for all preorders.
More specifics on the figure itself can be found in our earlier report, and at EXO-6’s website.
Preorders for the Data figure can be placed at EXO-6.com beginning Monday.
