Our friends at Eaglemoss brought a whole fleet of new starship models to New York Comic Con this week, expanding their Starfleet and Klingon armadas with new entries to the Star Trek: Discovery and Kelvin Timeline collections, the XL-sized model line, and one of the most awaited replicas from the Trek franchise!
First up is the newest entry in the larger-scale “XL Starships” lineup, the Amassador-class USS Enterprise-C, which notably made its appearance in the fan-favorite “Yesterday’s Enterprise” episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
This recreation of Captain Rachel Garrett’s ship is on its way to subscribers and preordering fans in the next few weeks, and is the last announced XL-sized ship Eaglemoss has revealed to the public — but Destination Star Trek Birmingham is just around the corner later this month, so we may get news on additional XL ships at that event.
The XL-sized Enterprise-C is available for preorder in the UK now, and will be in the US webshop soon.
The newest collection of Star Trek shuttlecraft were also on display, as four prototype models from the Kelvin Timeline Trek films made their first public appearance. Expected to arrive later this year (and up for preorder in the UK web shop now), these four shuttles were seen on the big screen in Star Trek ’09 and Star Trek Into Darkness, assigned to the USS Kelvin and USS Enterprise for short range missions.
As with the other Eaglemoss shuttle sets, the tiny models will also include translucent LCARS-style cutaway graphics with each ship.

The next Klingon starship from Star Trek: Discovery was also docked at NYCC, the Qugh-class Destroyer, with its spindly and intricately-textured design on display. Following the revised Klingon Bird of Prey model released earlier this year, the Qugh-class is on track for a release before the end of 2018.
It’s not yet available for preorder in the US or UK, but is likely to appear soon.

From the Starfleet side of Star Trek: Discovery, two new Federation ships joined the party, with first looks at the Cardenas-class USS Buran — formerly captained by Gabriel Lorca — and the Malachowski-class USS Clarke.
Both ships on display are still in the prototype phase (with the Clarke not expected to release until sometime in 2019), but each represent the new style of Starfleet ship designs seen in the new series.
The Buran is up for preorder in the UK webshop now, expected to start shipping to subscribers sometime in November.
Finally, one of the most anticipated additions to the Official Starships Collection beamed to the New York Comic Con floor, as Eaglemoss shared their first prototype build of the massive Earth Spacedock starbase from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
The iconic mushroom-shaped space station has been a long-desired replica for fans of the Trek model line, and this first development build — while not yet completed with final paint or coloring design — shows a great deal of promise ahead of its planned late-2018 release.
When mounted on its elevated, circular ring-shaped stand, the Spacedock model truly appears to float on display while allowing plenty of space for the lower antenna cluster at the base of the station.
The Eaglemoss team was careful to clarify that much of the final look of the Spacedock model has yet to be finalized, including the stripes of bright-blue paint which were hand-painted markings that will be replaced with a more gradiated blue coloring when the final production model arrives.
The Spacedock special-edition model is tentatively scheduled for a late-November arrival.
