News of the first standalone release of Star Trek: The Animated Series on Blu-ray – currently available only in the big 50th Anniversary box set – is out today, with an expected street date of November 15 in North America, and November 28 in the UK.
Breaking by way of TVShowsonDVD.com, the new three-disc set arrives with some groovy Animated Series cover art along with a collection of twenty-two Juan Ortiz art cards to accompany the set, one for each episode.
As we mentioned in our 50th Anniversary Blu-ray Collection review, this set does not contain any new bonus features not part of the 2006 DVD set – but 100% of those DVD features (including text commentaries) have been carried over to this set.
Once we have larger versions of the above images – and additional preorder links – we’ll update this post accordingly.
