After three and a half months of filming across two continents, STAR TREK BEYOND completed its main phase of production on Thursday in Dubai.
The cast and crew began to announce their departure from the project on social media yesterday, bringing their active participation in the film to a close.

Zachary Quinto also took to Instagram, posting a video of his curtain call as Spock, embracing director Justin Lin on set.
“This,” Quinto noted, “maybe for the last time. Maybe not.”

As we reported back in June, both Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are already under contract for a potential Star Trek 4 should Paramount and Skydance continue the current film franchise.
With months of post-production still to go before the July 22, 2016 release date, however, it’s likely going to be some time until we learn of any plans to go ahead with another entry with this cast.
